Directions Disclaimers: Please read

  • Garmin seems to be the only brand of GPS that will reliably get you here by just plugging our name or address in.  Any other brand of GPS and you are likely to end up near where the Kiski rail yard used to be, near Freeport, which is 16 miles away by road.  If you are not using a Garmin, and you are not familiar with the area, then we recommend the following; figure out whether you'll be coming from the direction of Kittanning or Leechburg.  Then, consult below to figure out where the blinker light will be relative to which direction you're coming from.  Then, put the town of Leechburg, Pennsylvania in as the destination on your GPS.  You'll get here just fine.

  • If you're not familiar with this area, use Google Maps or Mapquest (or anything else like that) at your own risk.  They often make it seem way more complicated than it actually is.

Where we are:

We are located in the town of Schenley, PA, Southwest corner of Armstrong County, Southwest Pennsylvania

Schenley Road is a 4-mile-long dead-end road off of State Route 66.  It's 14 miles south of Kittanning, and 2 miles north of Leechburg.  It's also the only road that leads here*, hence the name.  Once you're at the blinker light and make the turn, just stay on that road until there is no more road.  You'll cross our tracks at the bottom of the hill, pass the Schenley post office on your left, and our station will be straight ahead of you.

Driving times can vary. Please leave adequate time to travel to Schenley. Our train schedule is ON TIME, every time. We cannot wait for late-comers.

*Unless you count Old Schenley Road, which is the incredibly steep road that branches off of Schenley Road just past the American Legion post at the top of Schenley Hill.  Although all it does is spit you out at the very bottom of Schenley Road, and you have to take Schenley Road to even get to it in the first place.  So technically, Schenley Road IS the only road that leads to Schenley.  Old Schenley Road was part of the old way to get to Schenley.  Our research has lead us to believe that that fact had some influence on the naming of that road.--KJR Management
